Down jacket hand wash 6 steps
May 25, 2018

If the down jacket is dirty, it is recommended to use the whole hand wash. However, the washing process is very particular and is divided into the following six steps:

Step 1: Soak the down jacket in cold water for 20 minutes to allow the inside and outside of the down jacket to fully wet.

Step 2: Mix the detergent into water of 30°C and stir well, then place the down jacket in it for 15 minutes. Note that the amount of washing powder is usually 4 to 5 spoons of detergent in the two basins. If the concentration is too high, the remaining detergent in the down jacket will affect the bulkiness of the down and greatly reduce the warmth.

Step 3: Remove the down jacket from the detergent water and spread it on a clean countertop. Use a soft brush to dipped the laundry detergent and gently scrub the down jacket from the inside out.

Step 4: Grasp all parts of the down jacket in the water with your hands until they are kneaded clean.

Step 5: Keep the majority of the water in the net and rinse the jacket down in clean water several times to completely remove the detergent residue.

Step 6: After the down jacket is washed, it should not be wrung out. The water should be squeezed out, and then tiled or hung to dry. Do not expose to the sun or iron so as not to burn the clothing.
